Riddick Bowe Joins Sports Memorabilia

Boxing great Riddick Bowe, two-time Heavyweight Champion and former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion, is among the sporting guests already confirmed for next month’s Memorabilia show at the NEC Birmingham.

Nicknamed ‘Big Daddy’, Bowe is best remembered for his trio of fights with Evander Holyfield and two brutal bouts with Andrew Golota. Bowe will be signing on both Saturday 31 March and Sunday 1 April.

Bowe will be joined on Saturday by a great line-up that includes snooker legend Steve Davis; FA Cup-winning Chelsea captain Dennis Wise; Newcastle United and Scotland skipper Bobby Moncur; Birmingham City and West Ham hard man Julian Dicks; Arsenal striker Alan Smith; Liverpool midfielder Sammy Lee and a trio of former boxing champs - middleweight Alan Minter, welterweight Dave ‘Boy’ Green and flyweight Charlie Magri.

Bryan RobsonMeanwhile, Sunday’s Memorabilia welcomes two former Manchester United captains - Bryan Robson, the longest serving captain in the club’s history, and Steve Bruce, the first C20th English player to lead a team to the double. Alongside them will be Aston Villa striker Peter McParland; Scotland stalwart Gary McAllister; high-scoring Nottm. Forest midfielder Neil Webb; Forest and Sheffield Wednesday defender Des Walker; Leeds and Man. U. centre back Gordon McQueen and long-serving Derby County defender Roy McFarland.
